Bra Pattern, Bikini Swimsuit Pattern Triangles and Tangas, Bra-Makers Supply

a bikini triangle tops and tanga bottoms pattern that is great for beachwear, swimwear, or posing suits for fitness competitions. All variations of this pattern are non-wired and use a variety of construction methods for the ultimate in sewing freedom.

Included in this collection is a choice of 3 tops and 3 bottoms. All tops are a triangle style and all bottoms are a “cheeky” style designed to expose the derrière. The cheeks are exposed along the bottom edge, but not as much would be exposed in a thong!

Bonus – includes a lesson in the pattern on how to sew the elastic invisibly inside the straps and ties – no shifting, no hassle! 

Pattern Styles:

Malibu – a classic all-fabric triangle top, with a string to gather the bottom edge and tie-up halter straps with a back drawstring. Co-ordinating or contrast binding highlights and finishes the edges. The bottoms tie with self-made strings at the hip.

Miami –  includes a band that runs under the cups, made with darted fabric over cut-and-sew foam lining. This allows for the best in comfort and sewing ease. Binding accents the edges. The bottoms include criss-cross band at the center front.

Maui – the latest in tanga fashion, with a Brazilian scrunch along the center back. Use our pre-formed foam cups (our MT style) for the top. These cups cover beautifully with darts, gathers, or even seamlessly, with the right fabric!

Sizes:

The Triangles Tangas Bikini Pattern uses Bra Makers Supply Pin-up Girls unique method of sizing for the bikini top.  The tops fit a breast measuring from 6″-9.5″ (16.5-24 cm) in the cross cup. To measure the cross cup, simply measure across the fullest part of the bust, from wire line to wire line. The bottoms fit hip sizes 33-45″(84-114 cm)

Required Materials for all suits:

0.5 m (½+ yd) of spandex blend swimsuit fabric with stretch in both lengthwise and crosswise directions
0.5 meters (½+ yd) of 100% nylon swimsuit lining
4 meters (4 ½ yd) of ⅜” (9 mm) swimsuit elastic, such as Filpar
2 rings ½” (12 mm) or larger for the strap attachment

Miami Also Requires
0.3 meters (1/3 yd) of swim cup foam
1 g-hook or swimwear clicker back  1″(25 mm) wide

Maui Also Requires
1 pr. pre-formed triangle cups in your size
0.3 m of ¼” elastic for the back gathers
1 g-hook or swimwear clicker back ¾” (18 mm) wide
