Lavender Blooms Amethyst Bra
The charm of lavender blooms with style and comfort
Intermediate Sewing Level:
This bra is actually considered a "scrap bra" in the shop. It started as a fully Peach bra (Findings and Fabric) but as it was being sewn, we chose to switch out the back band and some of the findings for Pink instead. The Pink brought out the pink hue of the flowers on the tulle and gave the bra a nice pink glow. The bra pictured has Peach Duoplex lining the cups and Peach 3/8" and 1/2" Scalloped Elastic, but switching them out for Pink will add to the pink tint created.
The Amethyst is an all-lace bra which we replaced with Tulle, adding stability to the bra. The placement of the Tulle is all strategic as well, with a pink embroidered flower mirrored in the center front and the side of the frame and purple embroidered flowers near the center on the upper cup. The vines traveling up the seams add some whimsy to the bra as well.
